U.S. Embassy Bern hosted cybersecurity expert Kiersten Todt in Switzerland. The former executive director of the Presidential Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity, Ms. Todt continues to advise organizations on how to navigate today’s digital landscape in a way that effectively manages risk. While in Switzerland she met with Swiss government officials, small to medium enterprises, international corporations, parliamentarians, think tank members and the media. She shared findings from the Commission’s final report which serves as a point of reference for the Trump Administration. Of particular interest to interlocutors was her focus on international cooperation on cybersecurity as a crime that does not recognize international borders.
