
Ambassador LeVine and an investment development delegation from the state of Colorado welcomed a distinguished group of Swiss business leaders from aviation, life science, IT, fashion, machinery, and energy industries at an investment forum held at her residence in Bern. In her opening remarks, Ambassador LeVine highlighted Colorado’s vast and diverse market, favorable demographics, highly skilled labor pool, friendly business environment, excellent geographical location, and world class universities. The Swiss footprint in Colorado is substantial: Swiss companies, including Pilatus Aircraft, Mikron, Ruag Space, Swiss Space Systems, Leica Geosystems, Weidmann and several others, employ over 5,400 people, making Switzerland the third largest foreign investor in Colorado. Ambassador LeVine also highlighted Switzerland’s overall footprint in the USA. Switzerland is the 6th largest investor in the USA, with Swiss firms employing over 480,000 people.
