Interested in learning about diplomacy, exploring global issues, community activism and American culture? Then you should apply for the 2019 Benjamin Franklin Summer Institute at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. The fellowship takes place from June 29-July 27, 2019, all costs will be paid for. The application deadline is February 18, 2019.

Last year’s participant from Switzerland came back from the U.S. with a backpack full of experiences, friendships and knowledge:

The Benjamin Franklin Summer Institute was a unique experience for me. I met many new persons from many different countries. At the beginning it was a challenge, because I had to get out of my comfort zone and deal with new mentalities completely different of mine. The Benjamin Franklin Summer Institute looks for people who want to be active in their communities and I learned a lot about diplomacy and American politics. In short, I would say the Summer Institute makes you a world citizen, and connects you with friends around the whole world. — Dominik, Swiss Benjamin Franklin Summer Institute Participant in 2018
