Chargé d’Affaires Tara Feret Erath’s Remarks at Swiss-AmCham General Meeting

In remarks before the 50th anniversary Swiss-AmCham Annual General Meeting, Chargé Tara Feret Erath underscored the positive momentum in U.S.-Swiss economic ties, including the USD 100 billion annual bilateral goods and services trade and growing Swiss investment in the United States. Erath expressed particular appreciation for the Chamber’s continued efforts to deepen these ties and thanked Chamber Chairman and President Sergio Ermotti and CEO Martin Naville for their committed leadership. President of the Swiss Confederation Doris Leuthard gave a keynote address highlighting the importance of bilateral trade, historical links, and common values with the U.S. The Deputy Chief of Mission of the Swiss Embassy in Washington, Daniel Hunn, also addressed Chamber members at the event.
