On invitation by the U.S. Embassy in Bern, Professor Rohini Srihari will come to Switzerland to speak at the International Blockchain Forum in Rotkreuz, organized by the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy and the Embassies of Canada and the UK. The 2019 event will focus on the topic “Blockchain Society – Social Impacts and Applications” and bring together researchers, promising start-ups and established entrepreneurs in order to grow new partnerships for future collaboration in research and business.
Rohini Srihari is Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering University at Buffalo, The State University of New York and specializes in the areas of artificial intelligence, multimedia information retrieval, computational linguistics and text mining. She will talk about how, through novel data gathering platforms, block chain solutions can be used for social impact. She will also discuss her recent research on block chain’s effects on future society.
