On invitation by the U.S. embassy in Bern, William Carter, deputy director of the Center of Strategic and International Studies, had a speaking program in several parts of Switzerland from 17 to 19 June. He focused in his talks on the international and domestic cybersecurity and artificial intelligence strategy of the U.S., and its relations with China and the EU on this topic. He also discussed what he expects of future developments in this area. William gave two public talks hosted by the Center of Security Studies of the ETH in Zurich and by think tank Foraus together with Azuni and GSI of the university of Geneva in Geneva. He furthermore had engagements with the Swiss press and had several smaller, round table meetings.
