On Friday, May 1, Ambassador Levine, along with her husband, Eric LeVine, visited the Swiss Federal University of Technology in Lausanne, EPFL. Several highly prestigious labs with a wide diversity in focus presented their work and research: the Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Cognitive Neuroprostethics, the Human Brain Project, the MOOCs at the Lab for Computer –Human Interaction in Learning and Instruction and the Venice Time Machine project of the Digital Humanities Laboratory. The Ambassador was particularly fascinated by the application of MOOCs in vocational training. Another highlight to get from the Human Brain Project to the Rolex center, where the MOOCs lab is located, the group traveled by driverless transportation.
