U.S. Embassy Bern invited a class of 12-14 year olds from Primarschule Neufeld in Thun that participates in NASA’s Global Learning and Observation to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) program.  They came to visit the certified wildlife habitat and learn about its ecosystem.  At the end of their tour, students made drawings of their observations.

GLOBE is an international science and education program that provides students and the public worldwide with the opportunity to participate in data collection and the scientific process, and contribute meaningfully to our understanding of the Earth system and global environment.  Announced by the U.S. Government on Earth Day in 1994, GLOBE launched its worldwide implementation in 1995. Schools are active around the world and Switzerland has 183 registered.
