STAY INFORMED ABOUT SECURITY ALERTS

Download the AlertSwiss App and receive warnings and information on hazardous situations in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.  The AlertSwiss website also has extensive information on how to prepare for emergencies and disasters.  AlertSwiss is a project that is jointly managed by the Swiss federal and cantonal authorities.

The U.S. Embassy also strongly encourages that you enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) that allows U.S. citizens traveling or living abroad to receive the latest security updates from the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.


IRS TAX QUESTIONS – The IRS website has extensive information for U.S. Taxpayers Living Abroad.  In June 2019, the IRS will be hosting a series of webinars for tax practitioners on topics such as, Foreign Earned Income Exclusion,U.S. Taxation of Employees of Foreign Governments and International Organizations, and Tax Residency Status.  Details for the upcoming webinars can be found on the IRS website.
