U.S. Embassy Bern has selected Sylke Hoehnel of SUN bioscience to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Hyderabad, India from November 28 – 30. This year’s theme is “Women First – Prosperity for All.” Hoehnel, a graduate of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), cofounded SUN bioscience in 2016 with classmate Nathalie Brandenberg. Their startup seeks to develop human organoids on which treatment efficacy can be tested patient by patient.
“I’m absolutely looking forward to meeting like-minded entrepreneurs, to be able to share our stories and the problems we are facing,” Hoehnel commented. “What I’m trying to do is be an inspiration for others to follow their dream and start their own company.”
